Cause when you're a celebrity...
Last week, Henry had his first celebrity sighting...only he was the celebrity!
We joke that Henry's the mascot of the preschool. He attends 5 days a week, I work here and we go to church here...so pretty much everyone knows him. Not to mention that he's been coming to preschool since he was just 12 weeks old. However, I didn't realize the caliber of his celebrity until last week when we were in Target. We're strolling around, buying diapers and whatnot when I hear this little girl going, "Mommy, mommy, that's Henry! There's Henry!" I think the mother was quite perplexed, but as I turned around I immediately recognized the little girl from preschool. I think she's 3 years old and I don't know her name, but I knew her face. As we turned around to smile (Henry was riding in the cart), the mom looked at me awkwardly and said, "Is that Henry?" I told her that it was and that we go to preschool at Haymount. She still seemed very confused by it all, gave me a faint smile and turned around awkwardly to keep shopping. I thought it was hilarious.
Apparently, even the "older" girls at preschool know who Henry is. I hope all the attention doesn't go to his head :)
